Arron Snipe (sponsored by St Phillips Barristers) starred in all three facets of the game as the WCL 1s cruised to a 7 wicket win over Four Oaks. Arron took 4-35 with the ball, displaying his new found off-spinning talents to the first team; took an excellent diving catch at extra cover, as well as a run out and, lastly, scored a valuable 30 in the chase. A great day all round!

The WCL 2s won a thrilling contest against a previously unbeaten Bridge Trust side, largely thanks to the batting of Ben Slade. Ben had already taken 1-39 off his 10 overs with the ball and followed up with an excellent unbeaten 78 to lead the side home.

Despite the incredibly narrow 3 run defeat to Norton Lindsay, Ben Whitfield still had a very good game for the CHL 1s with bat and ball. Ben took 2-47 off his 10 overs and then followed up with a quick-fire 66 with the bat- great work Ben!

Another team with a brilliant win over top of the table opposition was the CHL 2s who won by 3 wickets against WCCS. The standout performer with the ball was yet again Mo Younas who is averaging a ridiculous 10 with the ball this year and picked up 4-41 on Saturday. Leo Ward dominated proceedings with the bat, scoring an unbeaten 71 in the side’s chase.

On a very tough day for the WCL 3s there was still an excellent performance by (Mr) Waseem Akram who scored a brilliant 72 to get the side up to 189 off their 45 overs against the league leaders. Mister Was was able assisted by U13 Dan Graham who narrowly missed out on his maiden senior 50 but contributed well in an excellent partnership. Unfortunately the team came up short on the bowling side against very strong opposition.
