The Earlswood U12 team utilised their batting strength to progress through to the next round of the cup competition.

After being put into bat first Earlswood team made steady progress throughout the innings to post a total of 127. A disciplined Droitwich Spa bowled well taking wickets at regular intervals which help restrict the total they had to chase, whilst only offering 21 extras in their 20 overs bowled.

After posting a competitive total a spirited Earlswood side went about defending the total with great enthusiasm, although the game never actually got away from earlswood, some inconsistent bowling helped Droitwich spa post a total of 112 runs, 51 of which came from extras.

A very pleasing result for the team, but without stating the obvious I don't think we should be providing the opposition with 50% of their runs scored.......
