Geoff Brown's 3s were back at Rumbush Lane for the first time this season and the visitors were Fladbury who Earlswood were looking for revenge against after their loss earlier in the season.

Fladbury turned up with 9 players and captain Goldby called incorrectly at the toss and Geoff chose to bat with some new players coming into the team with Ed Clews and Mick Weir coming in from the 2's, James Thorne making his return from injury and Haris Sohail to keep wicket and Ethan Plain coming up from the 4's to making their 3rd team debut.

Andrew Plimmer and Mick Weir opened up the batting to face against the opening partnership of D and R Shepard. Unfortunately Mick Weir fell early to R Shepard trapped LBW for 16 off 10 balls which brought young Ed Clews to the wicket. A couple of overs later Andrew was bowled through the gate by D Shepard falling for 19 which brought Haris Sohail to the crease. A couple of overs later Ed picked out Fladbury's fielder caught off D Shepard's bowling for 14 which brought Colby Snipe to the crease.

Colby and Haris started building a good partnership and frustrating the bowlers, with skipper Goldby trying something different by bringing on G Clayton and Mytton on to bowl but they couldn't find the breakthrough with Colby hitting his 50 off 22 balls with some big sixes and very attacking strikes. Haris fell in the 21st over to Clayton caught behind by Jennings which bought James Thorne to the crease. Colby then fell a couple of overs later falling for 78 off 42 balls, this being his best score in senior cricket. This then brought Abhi Lal to the crease, James Thorne, who had been picked as a specialist batsman, then showed his intent hitting a few powerful 4's with Abhi backing it up the other end doing the same with the 2 of them having a 90 partnership with James Thorne getting his maiden 50 off 50 balls but then got bowled through the gate by Jennings who had given the gloves to Prudden which put Earlswood at 266-6 38 overs. Liam Hannon walked out to the crease to join Abhi who was still having a go at the bowling bringing his 50 up in 41 balls but then fell 2 balls later bowled again by Jennings, Earlswood at 310-7 at this point which bought skipper Geoff Brown to the crease who showed his intent hitting his 4th ball for 4 trying to get as many runs on the board as possible. Liam and Geoff put on a quick 31 with the skipper caught behind by Prudden to make Mytton's bowling figures lookm slightly better finishing on 10 overs 1-98. This brough Ethan Plain to the crease, the plan to get Liam back on strike but Ethan had different ideas hitting 8 off 3 balls leaving Liam on 22 not out and Earlswood posting 341 - 8.

Prudden and I Sheppard opened the batting for Fladbury with Geoff Brown and Jake Mcgrory opening the bowling for Earlswood. Geoff like a few times this season struggled to find his line but luckily Jake, as he has been quite often this season, was bowling a tight line from the other end with both openers struggling to get him away. The skipper took himself off after 3 overs to bring Liam Hannon on to bowl who again struggled to find his line and length but managed to bowl a wide one that Prudden had a swing at which he skied and Liam took the catch off his own bowling which brought C Clayton to the crease. Jake bowled 6 tight overs from one end which then bought the debuting Ethan Plain on to bowl some leg spin. From ball one it was obvious that the batsman were going to struggle to get him away with plenty of flight and some very tricky bowling. Meanwhile Liam bowling from the other end then had Clayton with another caught and bowled which bought Mytton to the crease who a couple of overs later Ethan had caught behind by Haris Sohail for a duck bring Ethan's first 3rd team wicket. Colby Snipe came on as a change for Liam Hannon following his tight bowling the previous week bowling some sharp tight balls but struggled to get a wicket with Sheppard still proving stubborn at the other end. Ethan then had his 2nd wicket having D Sheppard caught by Colby bringing his 2nd wicket which bought Jennings to the crease. These 2 proved tricky to get out whilst ticking the score along so Geoff decided to try something different and brought Ed Clews on to bowl who bowled his spell with some very tight bowling. In his first over her had Jennings caught and bowled with a great catch diving forward to break that partnership bringing P Clayton to the crease who fell a couple of balls later to bring Ed's 2nd wicket of the over bowling him through the gate bringing R Sheppard to the crease. Ethan finished his spell with figures of 10 overs 3 maidens 2-18, fantastic bowling showing the older lads how it's done! Geoff then tried Mick Weir to replace him. At the other end Ed finished with figures of 5 overs 4 maidens 2-5 amazing figures but took him off to get Jake back on. After 2 overs of Mick's bowling the skipper bought himself back on to try and get the last couple of wickets for maximum bowling points but it was Jake that had Sheppard trapped LBW for 4 bringing skipper Goldby to the crease. Geoff again struggled to find his line and Jake just couldn't get the last wicket with Sheppard hitting his 50 in the 44th over and Fladbury finished on 150-7 with Earlswood taking 20 points which puts them joint in the table with Fladbury.
