Berkswell won the toss and elected to bat. Openers Ahmed and Perry-Ogden got off to a brisk start punishing anything short. They'd reached 53 off 7 before Earls skipper Joe Pietrafesa brought himself on and quickly made inroads into the Berkswell batting. First Perry-Ogden (23) then Cronin and Greyling both for ducks were all clean bowled and Earls felt they may be able to drag the score back. Alex Booker deserves praise for a very good spell of 4 overs for 18 runs which pegged the batsmen back for a while. However, Ahmed (70*) and Wreford (60*) put on 109 to post a daunting total of 169 from their 20 overs.
Chasing nearly 8.5 an over the Earlswood reply just didn't get going. We'd reached 14 off the first 7 overs when Joe fell to Reidy. The arrival of Ahmed's leg spin then accounted for Ed, Elliot and Will in quick succession. Despite 21 off the last two overs from Dan Dixon (20*) and Qasim Sohail (10*) the Earlswood reply limped up to 59-5 off our 20 overs for a convincing Berkswell win.

A disappointing end to the season but we did very well getting to the final winning our group. There's always next year!
