The U15s entertained Blossomfield at Rumbush Lane knowing they had to get a win to have any chance of winning the division.

Skipper James Thorne won the toss and elected to bat. U12s' Skipper Dan dixon opened with in-form Ewan Marshall and they made a steady start against some accurate bowling before Dan (15) picked out substitute fielder Emily Perrin who took a good catch low down with the score on 47 in the 9th over.

Elliot Weir joined Ewan and increased the scoring rate taking the total up to 101 before being bowled by a loopy full toss for 18 at the end of the 14th over.

James then joined Ewan and the last six overs were carnage as they plundered 90 runs from them with several balls lost as they hit six sixes between them. Ewan finished not out on 86 off 60 balls. James was stumped trying to get to his 50 off the last ball as he hit 47 off just 21 balls.

The team finished on their best score of the season reaching 191.

U12s opener Seth Jordan opened up against the Blossomfield reply. He was joined by Zoheb Ashraf who took their first wicket in the 4th over bowling Barlow. Star of the show for Blossomfield was opener Ed Thompson who played some great strokes all around the wicket in his 51.

Will & Emily Perrin and Kishan Paw all bowled tight spells before Ollie Simms finally dismissed Ali after he had got the team up to 56 with Thompson. Dan Dixon and Will Bicknell also bowled two overs each and Dan was rewarded with two wickets as Ewan took a second catch and Elliot claimed one running backwards off a top edge from Jacob Cutts.

The openers Seth and Zoheb came back at the end to run through the middle order with the impressive Thompson pinned LBW by Seth. Sharp work by Elliot resulted in a stumping for Seth off the last ball of the innings as Blossomfield finished on 77-8, 114 runs short.

MOM: Ewan Marshall - another excellent knock from the in-form batsman. He also took two catches and didn't need to bowl!

FOM: Emily Perrin - kindly volunteered to field for Blossomfield as one of their players was late. Caught Dan Dixon with a good catch low down. When eventually fielding for Earlswood made some excellent stops at extra cover and off her own bowling.
