Ahead of the new season and the u14's setting the standard for the season last Sunday, I wanted to update you on age group competitions and managers. We also have a number of coaches who will be supporting training throughout the season and will cover a number of games where we need support and/or the age group manager can not attend. Which coach primarily looks after which age group is yet to be decided, but it's worth noting that some of our age group managers also hold coaching qualifications.

I'd like to say a massive 'Thanks' to Dan Dixon ahead of the season. Although everyone thinks I do all the junior work, Dan has taken loads of pressure off me so far, sorting training over the winter with his band of coaches and helping sort our league entries. He tried to enter us in every competition going but was reigned back a bit! Even after that, we're offering a wide range of cricket for all ages, giving everyone an opportunity to develop throughout the season. I won't apologise for the long message this time round as these are all important messages:

SAFEGUARDING
We take Safeguarding extremely seriously. To the point we actually have 2 x trained Club Safeguarding Officers. If you have any concerns, please contact me in the first instance. As the primary Club Safeguarding Officer, it's my responsibility to ensure that everyone at the club enjoys their time with us and are in a safe environment. If I'm not contactable for any reason, Mark Dixon is my deputy and also holds the relevant qualifications. I'd like to thank Mark for proactively offering his services.

VOLUNTEERS
Everyone at the club is a volunteer, giving up their time for the benefit of your child/children. Please respect them. Abuse will not be tolerated. If you have issues, please save them for me rather than raise them in the moment. The club has its own welfare & and disciplinary committee who take all matters seriously.

We are always on the lookout for help across a wide range of activities / jobs around the club. If you want to get involved, get in touch!

DBS
All of our committee, managers, coaches and regular helpers hold a DBS certificate. Safety is paramount at our club.

TRAINING
Junior training will take place from 7pm-9pm every Friday at Watery Lane (B90 3SB), weather dependant. On May 2nd, this will be 6pm-8pm.

AVAILABILITY/SELECTION
All fixtures are on Pitchero. You can set availability for all games on here. The App is simple to use. You'll also receive any confirmation of selection on here. We suggest you set availability a MINIMUM of 2 weeks in advance to avoid disappointment.

PAYMENTS
There are no junior match fees. The membership fee covers everything, bar any indoor training and any adult match fees. The deadline for payments is 31st May. You will not be selected after this date if membership has not been paid. We would be grateful of payment as early as possible if you haven't paid yet.

This has taken a lot of organising so a huge thanks to all the age group managers. Every player should now have a parent on the relevant age group WhatsApp chat. Managers will keep you posted about fixtures and selection on these chats.
